Hear first hand from Ryan Falke of Marion Body Works Inc. about the growth Marion has experienced utilizing the value stream mapping process, creating an implementation plan and executing the plan.
Optima’s Roger Wolfe and Chris Schermer, who have been working closely with Marion, will provide an overview of where Marion was, where they wanted to get to and where Marion is today. They will then show the mapping process and the creation of the implementation plan.

Roger Wolfe, Optima Associates, Inc.
Roger is a 30-year manufacturing veteran. He has developed a keen skill for helping organizations assess, plan and implement lean management systems. He has extensive experience in rubber, wood, paper/film converting and metal manufacturing with 5 years spent in the design and manufacture of custom machinery that supports lean manufacturing. Roger has also led and participated in over 300 Kaizen events and led numerous 3P and Design for Manufacture events including Green Belt.
Chris Schermer, Optima Associates, Inc.
Chris Schermer is a young professional that is making his mark in the world of consulting. Chris has experience in documentation, creation and utilization of standard work documents and tools. He has participated in assessments of manufacturing organizations in Wisconsin. Chris has also participated in and led 5S teams within the food service industry for over seven (7) years.
Ryan Falke, Marion Body Works
Director of Quality & Continuous Improvement. Ryan joined the Marion Body Works family in April 2005 as the Fire & Emergency Production Manager. During his time at Marion, Ryan’s responsibilities have expanded and have included special projects, F&E Engineering and being a member of the strategic planning team.
