On day two, we’ll visit Metal Craft and RMS. Metal Craft is a medical device and aerospace contract manufacturer for low volume, close tolerance, machined parts. It’s a family-owned company in Elk River with approximately 150 employees. RMS, a member of the Cretex family of companies, specializes in high volume, close tolerance, implantable medical devices. Located in Fridley, RMS has embraced continuous improvement and Lean transformation by effectively engaging its workforce of more than 1,000 people.
Throughout the Minnesota Benchmarking Tour, Lean management expert Mike Hoseus will spend time sharing his experiences while facilitating thought-provoking dialogue on Lean leadership and Lean work systems. He’ll also participate in the plant tours, providing insightful commentary as we observe the principles of high-performance cultures. Participants will leave ready to form their own individual and organizational action plans designed to take your continuous improvement and Lean journey to the next level.
