About your presenter:
Steve is a Product Development leader with over 25 years of experience in large industrial manufacturing businesses within Westinghouse Electric, Ingersoll-Rand, and Emerson Corporation. He has led strategic marketing and global product management teams with responsibility for developing new products and driving profitable growth. Steve has most recently led regional and global program management teams with responsibility for improving NPD processes, increasing project management competencies and improving project execution effectiveness. His passion is improving “how” work is done through lean practices. He led a Lean Office Transformation effort focusing on lean as an engine for growth, eliminating waste and shrinking cycle times for both the delivery value stream and the product development process. Steve currently leads a global project management function within Emerson Corporation with responsibility for improving project management competencies, and driving project speed improvements. By focusing on Lean practices, Steve’s PM team has to date achieved an average NPD project cycle reduction of 30 percent.
