SIC – Short Interval Control

Thursday, May 2, 2019 @ 7:30 am - 10:00 am

Free – $39.00

Short Interval Control is a process that involves identifying and implementing effective counter-measures to improve performance in repeated cycles. Through the observation of a given indicator, we can highlight the variation, which would otherwise have been ‘greyed out’ by averaging, using shorter intervals.

Short Interval Control meetings are performed multiple times per shift utilizing good quality data for historical analysis, identifying upcoming risks in the next interval and proactively planning to resolve the historical issues. Each interval or SIC cycle engages front-line personnel and supporting resources in a process that helps to accelerate learning and improve performance. Short Interval Control is a powerful tool that can minimize variation and establish flow within a value stream.
