Six Sigma has been around for over 30 years and during that time it has evolved and improved significantly. It started out as a method for improving manufacturing quality at Motorola. Our approach is much more broad. We describe Six Sigma as a method for solving complex problems and making better customer-based decisions using data. As with most things in life, “the devil is in the details!” This session will discuss some of those details and how to really leverage the power of Six Sigma.
Specifically, we will cover:
- The Six Sigma evolution; what worked and did not work
- How Six Sigma fits within a continuous improvement strategy
- The Six Sigma approach/methodology/tools and a couple relevant examples
- Critical success factors for a Six Sigma deployment (23 years of lessons learned)
- Any questions and concerns that you might have
