We will go into detail on how BW Papersystems has created a foundation of continuous improvement through employee engagement utilizing the A4 program. Team members are encouraged to use the A4’s (simplified A3) to capture improvement ideas relating to cost / time savings or safety. Leaders coach the team members through the process, and team members make the changes, owning the improvement. This will lead into the numerous recognition programs that we have in place, starting with the recognition that is associated with the A4 program. We have Leadership, Engineering, Sales and Operational awards to share with you. These programs create an environment of trust, engagement and pride in our team members.

Cindy has been facilitating continuous improvement projects for over 20 years; 10 years as Master Scheduler / Facilitator for Trek Bicycle and the last 12 years for BW Papersystems in Phillips, WI. She is a Six Sigma green belt and specialist in root cause analysis, A3 process and PDCA. She’s been teaching lean fundamentals for BW University for eight years. She’s the grandmother of 5; 4 boys and a girl. She enjoys anything outdoors – any season, especially hiking with her dog Charlie and gardening.
